Key Qualifications of a Child Psychologist
  1. Education:
    • An M.Phil. degree in psychology (Rehab/Clinical) from an RCI approved institute in India.

    • Licensure to practice as a Rehabilitation or clinical psychologist in India – (Rehabilitation Council of India – RCI)
    • Training in child-focused therapeutic approaches, such as play therapy.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate emotional, cognitive, and social development.
  • Diagnose developmental, emotional, or behavioral disorders using standardized tools.
  • Provide therapy to address emotional and behavioral concerns like anxiety, depression, or trauma.
  • Support children in developing social skills, coping mechanisms, and self-regulation.

Key Qualifications of a Behavioural Therapist
    1. Education:
      • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, behavioural science, or a related field.

      • Additional certification, such as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for those practicing ABA. And qualifications such as  RBT, ABAT to work under the supervision of an registered practioner.

  • Use techniques like positive reinforcement and modeling to encourage desirable behaviors.
